  15.        This release of license_dev contains version v5.11 of the
  16.        FLEXlm libraries from Globetrotter Software.  If you are
  17.        upgrading from license_dev 2.X, which contained version v4.1
  18.        of FLEXlm, you will need new vendor keys to use the
  19.        development libraries contained in this release.  For more
  20.        information on version v5.11 and v5.0a of FLEXlm, please
  21.        refer to the release notes for license_eoe 3.3.

  28.        A new 64 bit version of the SGI FLEXlm library
  29.        /_u_s_r/_l_i_b_6_4/_l_i_b_l_m_s_g_i._a is included in this release.  It now
  30.        contains object files using the MIPS III instruction set
  31.        instead of MIPS IV.

  38.        license_dev now fully support both the old system ID

  47.        In previous releases of the SGI version of the FLEXlm
  48.        library, the SGI version of the libraries, liblmsgi.a, were
  49.        not true archives, but object files. The libraries contained
  50.        in this release are now actual _a_r(_1) archives, and fully
  51.        support the FLEXlm programmer interfaces.

  77.        The effect for setting the LM_LICENSE_FILE environment
  78.        variable has been changed in this release.  In previous
  79.        releases of the licensing libraries, liblmsgi.a, the value
  80.        of this variable is prepended to the list of license files
  81.        derived from the license file database.  In this release, if
  82.        LM_LICENSE_FILE is set, the license file database will not
  83.        be searched, and it's value will be the only value used when
  84.        searching for a license. This change was made to enhance the
  85.        performance of license checkout times.
